Reducing our carbon footprint
STÜKEN responsibly devotes itself to organizational and technical measures in order to avoid unnecessary consumption of energy in the production and operation of buildings. Our goal is to make a lasting effort to constantly increase energy efficiency.
We analyze and evaluate profitability, productivity and working conditions in order to improve them. Alternative or renewable energy sources are tested for technically feasible use and used wherever economically reasonable.
We assume responsibility to protect the environment ecologically. By avoiding wasting resources, we will extend the availability of fossil fuels. In order to continue to achieve continuous improvement, we apply an energy management system in accordance with the standard
ISO 50001.
Our energy management is regularly audited and certified by an independent and recognized organization.
The necessary resources and information shall be provided in an appropriate proportion for the establishment and maintenance of the energy management system.
We are committed to complying with applicable laws and regulations, as well as to meeting self-imposed requirements for energy use, energy consumption and energy efficiency. Our defined energy efficiency criteria apply to the procurement of services or products or systems, and are consistently communicated to our suppliers.
The energy policy is freely accessible to all employees in the company. Employees receive all relevant information and are actively involved in the energy management system.
