STÜKEN MEANS MORE Responsibility
Optimum use of materials, continuous progress and responsible use of resources are a matter of course for us.
Our core competence in deep drawing is characterized by the fact that considerably less raw material is used compared to other processes. By doing so, STÜKEN contributes to the protection of the environment.
In addition, the responsible and economical use of all resources has long been one of the most important principles of STÜKEN's corporate philosophy. In accordance with this principle, we regard active operational environmental protection and occupational safety as an important field of action in our company and as a process of continuous improvement.
For this purpose we apply an environmental management system according to the standard
ISO 14001.
Each employee is responsible for environmental protection. We therefore inform and train our employees and promote a process of continuous improvement in this area as well.
Legal and official obligations as well as additional requirements of our customers and other interested parties regarding environmental protection and occupational safety are consistently complied with.
We are committed to conserving natural resources, especially raw materials, water and energy. Products, processes and procedures are assessed and evaluated for risks to the environment and occupational safety.
We carry out risk analyses and derive goals and measures from these to protect our employees and the environment.
We try to replace hazardous substances and reduce the amount of waste and wastewater. Non-recyclable waste should be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
We have developed contingency plans and precautionary measures to avert danger.
Together with our customers and suppliers, we examine measures for environmentally compatible product and process design, recycling, disposal, packaging and transport.
Service companies and craftsmen who work in our plants are informed
about our environmental policy and are included in our environmental management.
