Ceremonial Groundbreaking for New STÜKEN Plant in India

Following the land purchase earlier this year, construction has now begun

Rinteln/Pune, October 2025 – The STÜKEN Group, headquartered in Rinteln, celebrated the ceremonial groundbreaking for its new plant in Pune, India, on September 30, 2025. With this investment, the internationally leading specialist for precision deep-drawn parts is continuing its global growth strategy. For the family-owned company, this marks its fifth production site after Germany, the USA, the Czech Republic, and China.

STÜKEN established its subsidiary, Stueken India Precision Manufacturing Private Limited, in the summer of 2024. The new facility will produce high-precision deep-drawn parts for the rapidly growing Indian market and the East Asian region. Following the land purchase earlier this year, construction has now begun in the Indian state of Maharashtra, in the greater Pune area – a key hub for the IT and automotive industries with a well-developed supplier network.
The plant will feature approximately 5,300 m² of production space and 850 m² of storage. Construction is expected to take about one year, with ramp-up of series production planned for the first half of 2027.

STÜKEN has been supplying numerous Indian customers from its global production network for years. The new site will enable the company to respond even more effectively to local demand. “Our new plant in Pune establishes a strong foundation to serve customers locally and bring STÜKEN’s advanced technology to the Indian market,” explains Philipp Wohlert, Managing Director of STÜKEN. “The groundbreaking ceremony was held as a festive event following Hindu rituals to invoke good fortune and divine blessing for the construction project. This tradition fills us with hope for a promising future for the new plant in Pune.”
