Rinteln, October 20, 2026 – Rising demands for range, efficiency, and sustainability are transforming electric mobility—and with it, the requirements for the components used. In addition to high precision and reliable performance, short supply chains, supply security, and cost-effective series production are becoming increasingly important. To meet these needs, STÜKEN combines development expertise with an internationally structured manufacturing network and supports customers from component development through to series production.

In modern e-mobility applications, even small metal components perform important functions. For example, components are used in high-voltage cabling, connectors, sensor housings, and shielding, as well as in other applications related to batteries, power electronics, and electric drive systems. Depending on the specific function, factors such as electrical conductivity, functional surfaces, and electromagnetic compatibility place special demands on the materials and manufacturing processes. 

Series production readiness begins in development
Whether a component can later be manufactured reliably and cost-effectively in large quantities is often determined long before production begins. Material, geometry, and tolerances influence not only the function but also the manufacturability and costs of the subsequent series production.
STÜKEN therefore contributes its expertise in materials, manufacturing, and processes to customer projects at an early stage. Together with customers, STÜKEN evaluates components in terms of function, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness and tailor them to the planned production volumes. The goal is not merely to manufacture according to drawings, but to design components that combine technical requirements with stable and cost-effective series production.

Local-for-Local for international markets 
In addition to development expertise, proximity to the respective sales market is becoming increasingly important. At the same time, sustainability considerations and the reduction of transportation-related CO₂ emissions are playing an increasingly important role. With its international production network, STÜKEN therefore pursues a “Local-for-Local” approach: components should be manufactured, whenever possible, where they will later be needed. This can shorten transportation routes and delivery times, reduce transportation-related emissions, and simultaneously help build regional supply chains.
For customers operating internationally, this approach offers additional flexibility. Projects can initially start in one region and be scaled up to additional production sites as production volumes increase or new market requirements arise.
This requires coordinated processes and quality standards. Regardless of the production location, the focus is on reproducible component properties, stable manufacturing processes, and consistently high quality.
